Greetings, populace of Blackspire!
I come bearing news of power, challenge, and glory—this reign’s relics have arrived!
There are 6 relics in total, along with 3 cursed anti-relics that I will reveal at the end of this post. These relics will be earned through various trials and contests at the first three KLEs of the reign, with 2 relics awarded at each event.
Each relic is bound to the one who earns it—no borrowing, no passing them around. Power claimed is power kept. Also the relics are not class limited, so you can use them with any class.
Below is a preview of what awaits you. Full details will be revealed as each relic is earned. However, I will reveal the first two trials for the first KLE:
- Robin’s Bow will be earned in the archery final round of the Robin’s Merry Band tournament—only the most precise will walk away with it.
- Molotov Cocktail will be earned through a battlegame trial, where chaos and skill decide the victor.
(Both of these items’ effects are listed at the end of the page!)
The next two relics—and how they are earned—will be revealed as the next KLE approaches.
- Robin’s Bow
A bow (or bow attachment, for those loyal to their own weapon) that cannot be broken by non-magical projectiles. - Molotov Cocktail
A Fireball relic that seeks the mighty, specifically targeting those with nobility titles or who currently hold office. - Hand of Scorn
The bearer may use an Insult-like effect on a Paladin or Anti-Paladin 1/Life. If used on a player wearing a class symbol instead of a sash, the relic restores one additional use per life. - Robin’s Hood
A reversible hood of cunning and choice. Before each battlegame, choose your path—Blink or Tracking—by inverting the hood. Gain that ability at 1/Refresh Charge × 10 for the game. - Tights of the Merry Men
Subtlety becomes your ally. Gain Pass Without Trace 1/Life. - Friar Tuck’s Staff
A Magic Staff that may also be wielded pommel-up as a Great Weapon (a “downspear”), carrying the properties and limitations of both.
But power does not come without mischief…
As promised, there are also Cursed Relics. These do not grant strength—they test it.
And this reign, you won’t just receive them… you can place them in the hands of others. The Outlaw Court will be hosting a Cursed Relic Anti-Auction, where you may bid to “gift” these items to the friends—or enemies—of your choosing. Full details can be found in the following post.
Cursed relics impose limitations on their bearer, designed not as punishment, but as a challenge. If you receive one, you must use it for one battlegame per KLE. Not all the games—just one. You may choose to use it more.
- The Glass Guard
A buckler with Imbued Shield. The bearer gains Fragile. - The Jester’s Delay
A jester’s cap that doubles the bearer’s recharge amounts. - The Noble’s Humbling
A short sword whose bearer may only play the Peasant class.
Rise to the challenge, Blackspire! Earn your relics! Embrace the curse. Let this reign be one of legend.
In service to the dream of our game,
Turtle Wildflower, Champion of Blackspire
