The Kingdom of Blackspire Board of Directors has voted to adopt a fully replaced Disciplinary Process, replacing all prior text in Policies Section 15.
This updated policy establishes a standardized process for handling grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, and other disciplinary-related matters.
In brief, the new policy:
- Creates a clear intake, routing, investigation, notice, review, final determination, appeal, and closure process.
- Establishes the Disciplinary Committee as an investigative and advisory body, not the final decision maker.
- Provides a progressive disciplinary framework ranging from documentation only through indefinite suspension or removal.
- Includes procedures for emergency temporary actions when there is a severe safety, financial, or legal threat.
- Requires documented notices, case IDs, secure records, and official communications.
- Adds a mediation and conflict resolution framework for matters that can be appropriately resolved before or alongside formal discipline.
- Strengthens confidentiality, non-retaliation protections, conflict of interest handling, and record retention requirements.
This policy takes effect upon adoption by the Board of Directors and will be maintained as the current Kingdom disciplinary policy under Policies Section 15.
All members are encouraged to review the updated process so they understand how grievances and disciplinary matters will be handled going forward.
