As Blackspire continues to connect across various digital platforms like Facebook and Discord, the Board of Directors is looking to ensure our online spaces remain safe, welcoming, and fair for the entire populace. To achieve this, we are establishing a new advisory committee dedicated to shaping the future of our social media moderation policies.
The goal of this committee is to research and recommend comprehensive community guidelines, clear enforcement standards, and transparent appeal processes. We want to move away from reactive moderation and instead build a sustainable, equitable framework that protects our members while fostering open, constructive communication across the Kingdom.
We are seeking a diverse group of participants who can look past individual park or household interests and focus on the health of Blackspire as a whole. Whether you have professional experience in online community management, or simply bring a valuable perspective on fairness and inclusivity, your voice is needed.
Please note that this committee serves in an advisory capacity; final policy approval will go through the proper channels. This is also not a group of volunteer moderators, but strictly a group to form fair moderation policies.
If you would like to help us build a safer digital home for our community, please submit an application to bailey.boaz@blackspire.org. In your email, include a brief statement about why you want to serve and any specific experiences or ideas you’d like to bring to the table.
Applications will remain open until the team is compiled!
Questions regarding the committee or its mission may be directed to Bailey, aka Galinmorn, Committee Chair.
