Join us for The Merry Makers’ Faire, featuring Hydra Trials, Chef's Circuit, A&S Display and showcases, court, battlegames, and plenty of merriment.
Schedule
10:30 AM – Site Opens / Setup Begins
Volunteers are welcome and appreciated for setup. Please bring shade/popups and tables if you are able, especially for Hydra Trials and A&S displays.
11:00 AM – Check-In / A&S Display Setup Opens
Hydra Trials, Monthly Mini-A&S Painting Showcase, and general A&S Display Showcase participants may begin setting up their entries.
11:30 AM - Early Bird Battlegames Block
Battlegames before Althing & Court hosted by Kingdom Champion Turtle Wildflower!
12:00 PM – Jester’s Cap Tournament
Hosted by Iron Keep in celebration of the holding’s 35th Anniversary.
1:00 PM – A&S Entry Deadline / Althing Begins
All Hydra Trials, Painting Showcase, and display entries must be dropped off on their respective tables by 1:00 PM.
Althing / General Membership Meeting begins at 1:00 PM.
1:30 PM – Outlaw King’s Court
Court & Althing will be livestreamed and recorded.
Hydra Trials judges should be available by 1:30 PM to begin judging entries.
Immediately After Court – More Battlegames
Battlegames will resume immediately after court, hosted by Kingdom Champion Turtle Wildflower.
2:30 PM – Cooking Contest: The Main Course
Participants should arrive prepared with their own supplies, cookware, heating implements, and serving tools. There are limited ways to cook at the park, so please plan accordingly.
Cooking contest judges should report to the cooking area at 2:15 PM.
Throughout the Afternoon – A&S Display, Painting Showcase, and Hydra Trials Judging
The Iron Keep A&S Display Showcase is display-only and not judged.
The Monthly Mini-A&S Painting Showcase will have light judging or feedback as available and may also count toward Hydra Trials entries if desired. Rubrics for feedback will be available on the display table adjacent to the Hydra Trials tables.
4:30 PM – Teardown and Cleanup Begins
Please help pack up displays, tables, shades/popups, and event areas.
5:00 PM – Site Closes

Hydra Trials — Kingdom A&S
Hydra Trials is a 5 over 3 Proving of Craft Acumen: five submissions across at least three categories of craft. First-time entrants should expect a battle of the titans. Entry forms are available on the website and will also be available at the event. Please bring solid write-ups, as your score may depend on it.
Entry deadline: 1:00 PM
Judging begins: 1:30 PM
A&S Display Showcase — Hosted by Iron Keep
Display-only, not judged. Bring your work to share with the kingdom.
Monthly Mini-A&S — Painting Showcase
If you paint, let’s see what you’ve got! Judging will be light, if any, and entries may count toward Hydra Trials if desired.
Entry deadline: 1:00 PM
Volunteers and Judges Needed
We would love volunteers for setup, teardown, and cleanup, as well as the loan of shades/popups and tables for the A&S displays and Hydra Trials.

If you find your name on the list, your presence at Court is kindly and joyfully requested so that your award or recognition can be presented in person. Attendance is not mandatory, but we would very much like the chance to celebrate you in front of the Kingdom.
If you are listed and know you will not be able to attend, you are welcome to reach out to the Crown or their designated representative. Alternative arrangements for announcing or delivering your award may be made if needed.
