The Swords of the Spire: Reign Long Holding Raid Competition
Attention Citizens of Blackspire,
As we head into the Fall and Winter months the holdings of Blackspire each face the yearly challenge of getting people to be motivated to go out and fight. To help in this endeavor, the Kingdom is proudly announcing today an all reign long competition to see which among the holdings is the best at raiding other holdings. My goal here is to encourage holdings to do more with each other and to see which holding is the best at raiding. So, my monarchy team and I devised what we believe to be a fun way of putting some competition into the mix.
The information for the competition is below. Let’s see which holding will be crowned best at raiding and its players earn the title of Warmonger of Blackspire. Please contact either myself or the Kingdom Champion if you have any questions.
To all the challengers, I wish you a well fought campaign!
Start and End Dates of the Competition:
Start time: Now, today!
End time: February 20th, 2027.
The Holdings Raid Point system:
Holdings can assist each other in raids and get points by working together to slay their mutual enemies. In the event of alliances, points will be divided up evenly with any remaining points going to the park that organized the raid or the park that was raided (in the event of a defensive alliance victory)
-
Shires are worth - 1 point
-
Barony’s are worth - 2 points
-
Duchy’s are worth - 3 points
Points are earned based on what holdings sizes and who wins the raid battle games.
Victory Condition:
At the end of the reign, the holding with the most points will be crowned the winner of the raid competition with EACH holding member who participated in the raids, begiven the custom title of Warmonger of Blackspire.
How the Math Shakes Out
If the Duchy of Obsidian Grove challenges the Duchy of Dragons Forge, the winner of the raid battle game would get 3 points.
Should the Duchy of Dragons Forge challenge and win against The Barony of Dusk Hollow, DH would get 3 points for winning the raid battle game, Dragons Forge however would get 2 points for winning the raid battle game.
Should the Duchy of Dragons Forge challenge the Shire of the Forest of Fado, the Duchy of Dragons Forge is awarded 1 point for winning the raid battle game, whereas if the Shire for the Forest of Fado wins, they would get 3 points for beating a Duchy.
Now, should the Duchy of Dragons Forge be challenged to a raid by the Shire of the Forest of Fado and made an alliance with the Barony of Dusk Hollow, the Shire of the Forest of Fado and the Barony of Dusk Hollow would get 3 points divided up, 1 point would go to both the Shire of the Forest of Fado and the Barony of Dusk Hollow with the last remaining point going to the Shire of the Forest of Fado, for organizing the raid.
However, if the Duchy of Dragons Forge were to win, they would get 3 points for beating both a Barony and a Shire. If Dragon's Forge was in an alliance with another holding during this time, they would earn 1 point, the allied park would earn 1 point, and the last point would also go to Dragon's Forge as they were the defending park.
Additional Rules of the Competition:
Holdings may issue a challenge to raid another holding only ONCE per month to claim points. However, holdings can be requested to help in a raid as MANY TIMES as they choose.
If a holding issues a challenge to raid against another holding, the monarchs of each holding MUST agree to a specific raid time and let the kingdom monarchy know beforehand of the date of raid. Then the Holders of each park will send the results of the raid battle game to the Kingdom Monarchy and will account for how many people from their park that attended the raid (preferably by way of a picture of your holdings [with allies if present] victory while standing amidst the fallen peoples of the losing holding).
In order for a holding's raid to be officially recognized as a viable raid party, the holding who issued the challenge must have at least 5 or more players attend the raid to earn points, or they automatically forfeit the raid. Additionally, if parks choose to make alliances, each allied park must have 5 or more players present to earn their park points.
Kingdom relics are allowed during these battle games. Holding relics will not be allowed for these battle games.
Monsters may be allowed but will be decided at the discretion of the holders agreeing to the raid battle game.
The Defending holding chooses the battle game that will be played. The Attacking holding may agree to the terms of the battle game or not.
In the event of a tie, the Kingdom will host a special battle game between the tied holdings at a KLE, to see which holding is overall victor.
