Hey friends! The Kingdom is seeking more justice-minded individuals to serve on the Disciplinary Committee.
What does that entail?
It means you will be part of the team helping moderate, investigate, and decide how to handle grievances and disputes that come in to Kingdom. Often, this means being willing to be a strong listener, organized note-taker, and able to talk to people who've been hurt or upset by situations that can sometimes happen in our game. It's not always easy or clear-cut, and we need folks with moderate and measured mindsets to help navigate people through conflict.
Many of our situations are resolved with mediation, lesser warnings and probations. Many of your Amtgard friends have been through tough times in the game and we believe ultimately that we all want the same thing - to have a fun and safe time playing together. If you can, consider joining the pool of this committee, potentially being called on to serve for one of the Monarchy officers during their reign so they can focus on doing the Kingdom work that makes our game run - and giving awards!
This service is crucial and important and diversity of voices and representation on it is really, really critical for our Kingdom right now. We need as much insight in this service as we can get to ensure equity and fairness for all players.
